I would say - everything they do is an attempt to make you feel how they feel. They want you to know - maybe in attempt to finally have someone who understands how they feel. It is a humbling journey, it is an honor and not for the faint hearted - one that is rewarding in a way that it makes you see the world more clearly and deeply - if you are willing to stick with it - this is not for everyone. There is always that fear that they will do something that will create such deep regret and shame for them that they might not recover - to me that is always more concerning.
